I need to route some pockets on the backside of a mantle facing to lighten it.

I looked at some Youtube videos showing the MSF 400.

Looks perfect for what I need to do, but I don't see how I would clamp/screw it to the wood to keep it from moving as I route the pockets.

Help! My alternative is to construct a template that I would screw into the wood for each pocket. I will be routing the side of the facing that contacts the wall studs.

Hi

There is a track in the MFS profile for clamping from underneath. Use the festool-clamps to hold the MFS and your workpiece together. If you have got a MFT-table stick the clamps thru the holes from underneath the table and slide the MFS profile on to the clamp.
