Multijetstream 2 vs older ETS-EC 150

i have the ec 150/5 and love it. also have the rotex 150 that i seldom use...  but figured i'd get a bunch of papers for them since i had two of them in 150.

i just bought the ec 150/3 with the newer multijetstream 2 (hasn't even shipped yet) and was wondering if the older 150 papers are compatible with all the extra holes found in the new pads.

and... does the older ec 150 have some exhaust mechanism (ala multijet stream ) that allows me to just put on the newer mj2 pad and have it work like the newer models?

You will be fine as far as the paper goes.  The new papers add a few more holes but don't cover up the holes on the older sanders.

No idea on the pad question.

Yes newer pads are fine. The tools didn't change, just the pads so JS2 pads will be fine on tools sold with older pads.
