My Festool Wish - Phil Beckley Get Well Soon !!!!

I've only just noticed this but if you look at that photo of Phil at the airport there is a young girl sitting behind him facing towards the camera. Doesn't she look like one of the characters in the film "Airplane" - if I had realised that I might not have got on that flight with Phil.

I hope you get well soon!  I'm looking forward to seeing a new video after you've fully recovered.

Phil is a wonderful guy who is loved by the whole Festool team. I'm looking forward to his return.

Hi Phil,

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery and a return to good health.

Have always enjoyed your videos.

All the best from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Brian

Get Well Phil-  You just need to convince the Medical Staff that you need a few Systainers stacked in your Hospital Room as 'Nursing Assistants'.... That will speed up your Recovery.. [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

I have just exchanged a couple of emails with Phil...

He really is feeling much better and has just some routine medical checks to go before he gets the big tick in the box to get back to work.

Phil has been leading a really hectic Festool life and burning his candle at both ends. Lets hope that he has the good sense to set that candle upright and take things at a more measured pace.

That's great to hear and thanks for the update Peter.

Looks like yer back at now Phil, Hope ya can check in a let us now how yer feeling

Hi
First of all thank you for all the messages that have come over in the past few weeks  [not worthy]........they have all been appreciated and a surprise also - it shows how our community can support over long distances  [smile]

I am now well and truly over the hard part and just about back to full health with the support of the National Health Service here in the UK  [not worthy]
As a warning to all never ignore a dry cough, a searing pain on either side of your back, lethargy, no appetite....go and visit the Doctor as the few minutes spent there will avoid what I went through...and thanks to Mrs B for the emergency action [thumbs up] (now she watches every move I make  [tongue])
In the future rather than just pushing on I will for sure make sure my health is nearer the top in terms of priorities and I guess us males can be a little bit stupid on occasions so I hope that none of you guys ignore any health issues in the future - keep well and appreciate the ones close to you as one day they may end up making the call that we should have done  [embarassed]

On to better things and now after a rough 7 weeks I will be in the forum a lot more and gradually ramp it up over the coming weeks to provide the information to you from the UK and Germany.

Keep well
rg

Glad to hear this buddy its Great news and a relief to us.

we guys tend not to go to the Dr.s when we should. My wife is on me over every little pain I got/get.

Plus getting older all the wear and tear we put our bodies through over the years adds up and take its toll on us.

Hey since yer in the pink now, you gonna make a guest appearance at Festool Connect in Las Vegas?

It would be great to have you here.

Hi Phil

I am so glad that you are on the mend and many thanks for the advice. Maybe we all ought to share some of the health stuff from time to time as a warning or as advice to the others.

I have had two lots of time off this year with boys problems, both under general anaesthetic, but a very clever lady with a rusty old Go-Pro camera and what must have been a collapsible paint stirrer has sorted the whole thing out and I am now peeing like a 10 year old !

Well done Phil and welcome back.

Peter
