Phil will never be "normal" - have you seen him demonstrating an HKC one handed at a show? Rumour has it that he is working on a juggling act - HKC, Domino and PSC420 all in the air at the same time.

The D&M Show should be good this year !!

I met up with Phil [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member] today at the D&M show and he is fighting fit, fully recovered and has not lost his touch entertaining the crowds.

We had a coffee together at the Festool stand and I was standing on the "staff" side of the display - I nearly sold a Domino to one of the visitors (I told Phil that he bought two !).

The weather has been really bad here in the UK with high winds and heavy rain but that did not deter the woodworkers today. I have not had the courage to tell my wife how much I spent today - I will wait until we go looking for her new winter coat.

Ron [member=10147]jobsworth[/member] - I looked for your ghost but only found the mustard trail from last year !

Hi Peter

Ron and I recently attended a Festool cabinet/door/drawer class in North Carolina.  He asked that I let you know that he did have a hamburger one day and ate it without getting any mustard on himself.  I cannot, however, vouch for any ketchup.

no catsup on me either hehehehehehe

why Peter Im surprised, I thought you would wear some mustard in my honor. It loks rather smart on a bright red T shirt :>D

Great news about Phil. When I met John Street at the D&M show a few years back I sold a 1010.

Thought for sure FT was going to offer me a job  [cool]

I have met many Festool employees but Phil is tops of my list to meet next.  He is of the "really gets it" mindset.  He is genuine, caring, and knowledgeable.  A true class act.

When I was going thru my health issues back in 2014 - 2015, he set a "care package" of Festool swag from overseas to keep my spirits up and arranged for delivery.  He reads and hears posts here and walks the walk.

So glad to hear that [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member] is back in the saddle and doing well!

Peter

Get well Phil.

Had a PE myself years ago. It is very painful. Mine felt like I was being stabbed with an ice pick every time I took a breath. Came out of nowhere as I was driving alone in my truck and only 5 miles from the nearest hospital so I drive right there to the ER. It was faster than pulling over to the side of the road and calling 911. With treatment you can recover fully. Today (10 years later) I have no lingering effects or pain from the incident.

Hope you recover fully and soon. Prayers for you my friend.
