The 0* stop is perfect.
The 45* stops are a bit off, maybe 44.75*.

Can this be fixed?

Unless I am missing something, that is for when your 0* is off.  My 0* is correct.  My 45* stops are both 44.75*.

The photo in the bottom right corner of page 25 of that manual shows the plate which is has the detents for your angles.  Loosening all three screws and moving the entire plate in or out will close or open that angle respectively.  It may be difficult to adjust is more precisely than the 1/4 of a degree your off now.

If you have further questions, I would advise you to call and speak to David or Lester and they can help walk you through the calibration process.

Hope that helps.

1/4 degree maybe, is not worth delving into moving the miter scale around.

1/4 degree could come from dull blade at 45.

Just curious,  How do you know it is off by a 1/4*?

I did a frame and found it was off, perhaps by a degree. (4x1/4*)
I nudged it over by about a quarter degree (about half of the half degree marker...) and the frame was perfect.

Tried it again and got the same results.

I can try moving the scale in, but it will only go in 1/32"; not sure if that will change anything.

My 45 is off too, more than a 1/4, about a 1/2 or so. Once you loosen the miter plate and mess with it you can go back and forth a trillion times. I'm just leaving it alone. Otherwise my Kapex is perfect.

I moved it in and it got worse.  Moved it out and it fixed the left side.  The right is still off a hair (over 4 corners), but I use the left 90% of the time and I doubt I can get it any better.
Seems to me that moving it out should make the angle larger, but apparently not.
Thanks.

A follow up question...  I used the 4 cut method to make sure the 0* cut was still on.  I did it twice and got -0.049 and -0.037.  If I am reading the instructions properly, that is good; right?
