So, there are plenty of members who know that around a year ago, I had gotten the large Festool guide rail accessory bag (FS-BAG-PA) that was only available, well pretty much everywhere except North America.  I posted about it last year with plenty of pictures.

Today, after only 2 days of shipping and customs, I got some matching goodies.  The Festool saw blade bags (KRS-BAG) for holding blades up to Kapex size (260mm or 10 1/4").  Previously, I hadn't found any bags offered in the U.S. that safely held and transported blades larger than 10".  I've been using a couple of Craftsman bags from Sears.  These Festool bags hold 5 blades each within pockets and you can probably fit more in there if you also store blades between the pockets.  They are made extremely well, just like the quality of the large accessory bag I own.  They also mimic the look and materials of the large accessory bag.  There are carry handles, an ID insert on the front and a front zippered pocket, most likely for storing your future Festool purchase cash.  The blades are held inside the sleeves with a double Velcro strap.

Peter and I where having a talk today about them and he said he would refrain from giving me a well deserved hard time, spending the money I did to get these.  They were a bit pricey at a conversion of $112 total for the 2 blade bags, but the shipping charge, when I get it, will be the killer and I haven't even gotten wind of the duties fees.  The shipping estimate is more than the price of two bags, about the same as it cost me for bringing the big accessory bag over here.  Am I nuts?  Sure.  Am I a Festool addict/devoted customer?  Absolutely!  Will I question spending the money on these?  Yes, for sometime.  Happy?  Oh yeah!

Christian O., Rick B., get these and more NAINA stuff over here ASAP!  Do you want me to start another poll?  [big grin]

Looks sweet, Ken!

I particularly like the guide rail bag. How many rails and/or accessories can you fit in there?

Enjoy your purchases - it's only money.

Thanks, TC!

With the help of my U.K. friends last year, I figured out that the outer pocket of the bag can stretch to hold 3 guide rails, maximum length of 55" or 1400mm.  Within the main compartment there are smaller compartments for large and small items like the Gecko clamps, the other types of clamps, MFT parts and pockets to hold the parallel guides.  While it's not perfect in its design, it's close enough.  It's well made, a bit awkward due to its loaded weight and length and I'm very happy I went to the trouble of getting it last year.

I really like the saw blade bag. Seems crazy that it is not sold here. Can't blame UL for that!

True, but I did find out with the big bag that it's just as nuts convincing Festool that it's worth selling these here to satisfy our demand and their bottom line.  Also, their N.A. focus groups don't always reflect FOG members' desires.

[tongue]

Do you have one that also shows giving your first born?  Remember, we're talking Festool.  [big grin]

I keep all my kapex blades in a sys1.  there are 4 in there, separated by a layer of cardboard.

I also keep my crown stops and blade and bit cleaner in there too.

Very cool Ken.  I hope your check for the FOG hats will still clear after you've paid shipping on these bags. [tongue]

Brice, I didn't have to pay for my hats.  I just traded several pair of Festool pants to Peter for the hats.  He loves them.  I think he said something about just having to peel off masking tape with "Burrell" written on it.  [big grin]

I tried to get the saw blade bag when I as in Europe earlier this year.  They wouldn't sell it to me.  It was only part of a "combo": buy 3 blades get the bag for free.  :-(

Might be going over around Thanksgiving. Need to check the German site to see what might be good to bring back.

For you and your FOG friends.  [wink]  [smile]

Those are NICE! The organization solutions make my Festools the best organized tools in my shop - it can't be overlooked.  There is a smaller rail transportation bag that is available to us in the US, iirc, but it's not as big as the one you've pictured. I only have enough blades now that they are stored in my sys with my TS55. No Kapex yet.
