After seeing all the great mobile builds and ideas I drew up a plan for a double MFT/3 setup and finished it up last weekend.

Front Side with supply drawers and Festool drawers.

Back side with Systainer and CT Midi storage.

Now to add the cool 80/20 accessory attachments and extension!

Yep just removed the legs and put stoppers on the table top to keep the tables in place.

The tables aren't bolted or screwed down? When you say stoppers, I'm not sure what that means.

No they aren't fastened down. I put down L shaped blocks at each corner of each table. You have to push the tables down firmly to seat them. Very tight for not fastened down. Takes a lot of effort to lift them out of the blocks. So far no movement issues. Also they are connected with the MFT connector rods.

Very nice!!!  I wish I had the room to do something like that.

Well that's one reason I did this. Got rid of my miter saw and other work table and combined it. Plus with an extension like is on the 80/20 thread I can get rid of my plywood break down setup. So I actually have gained some room in my garage.

I've been looking for a way to equip the MFT tables with retractable casters to be able to move a second table around to whatever orientation I need, but no luck finding the casters that will fit on the MFT legs. Your mobile table may be the alternative. It doesn't allow a change in arrangement of the two tables but it does provide a work area that is probably large enough for anything I would do. I do have the space for a secon table so I would certainly have the space for your type of table. I would probably put completely retractable casters (I have a set made by Rockler on my workbench which allows the bench to sit on its own solid legs when in place but it can be moved whenever I want.) to allow the table to sit directly on the floor. I like your idea and, even though I'd be wasting the MFT legs, the whole table would be better suited to my needs.

That sounds like a good idea! I have seen some of those casters and they looked cool. If you do it make sure of how much weight they can hold. This thing is heavy! With the tables and 3-4 sheets of ply, slides and tools it is bulky. I do have the sketchup drawing for it with everything but the drawer fronts.

Is the Sketchup drawing something you'd share? I may reconfigure some of it to be specific to my storage uses. It would be nice to get some of the tools and and supplies, like Dominos, close to my work. I might not build right away, but it definitely looks like something that would work for me short of buying aluminum track and cutting it to work with the MFT tops as I've also seen done.
