My MFV sprinter (multi function vehicle) built mostly with Festool

Beautiful job! I liked the ply ceiling you had but suspect you carpeted it for additional noise absorption.

What are some of the uses this MFV will get in the upcoming years?

Thanks, the carpeting on the roof liner is mostly for noise reduction and warmth, I spent a month of after work time just on the insulating it and hope to be able to stay warm in it with just a few candles and a couple of clay pots here in the PNW.
I will mostly use it for work  ( finish carpentry mostly stairs )and lots of trips from hometown Vancouver BC to cape kiwanda the most beautiful place on earth [thumbs up]

I'm helping a buddy with his sprinter right now, yours looks great. How do those cabinet doors open? He's wanting his to slide. Any additional pics would be awesome.

Nice job, and very clean look!

Many years ago I built a custom van in a similar manner. Mine had sprayed in foam insulation, so I didn't go through all of the same work that you did, but it was still a BUNCH of work. Yours looks great!

Hey Rock, my overhead cabinet door panels swing out, I have them hinged in the 8020 extrusion.
I dadoed  a length of threaded rod across the panel and it sits inside a nutplate which is set with  setscrew, here are a couple of pictures, Mark.

That nut plate, threaded rod hinge combo, is very clever. How is the latching function performed?

Fantastic build. Well done.

What make/model are those yellow support poles? Would like to track some down.

More festool ideas working their way into my Sprinter

Mark,

That van looks really awesome,  I was also looking at you stair work photos on Google+, your attention to detail is amazing.  Stellar work.
