Only used it briefly as I had some homework to do, but from the time that I did get to use it, I loved it. I do not have it hooked up to the vacuum because I did not want to make the adapter to fit onto the sander. I will have to deal with the bag for now I guess. That is, until I make a couple projects and pay for a CT midi :)

You won't be disappointed, it really is an awesome machine. You will find that it works much better with a vac, I run all my Festool hand tools off a Mini, have done for years and it works a treat.

It already looks like an old tool!
Hopefully I will get some use out of it soon. I have a friend who wants two end tables for his bedroom, but he has to run the idea by his girlfriend first :)

It will soon become an old friend. I've had mine since 2004 when I bought it and a CT-22 as my first venture into Festool.

Just received my package from Amazon in the mail today. I bought a 10 pack of both 120 and 180 Granat abrasives. $14.00 each with free 2 day shipping. I know the price is normal, but the two day shipping was more like 1.5 days. Arrived extremely fast.

Next thing to buy is the 220 grit 10 pack of Rubin 2. I don't want to spend $62 on a pack of 220 grit Granat, so this will work for me.

But first, I need to get some clamps. I am thinking about buying a 10ft section of 3/4" pipe for $15, then four pipe clamp sets and making 2x 2 foot clamps and 2x 3 foot clamps. Then, I'll go pick up a few 6" and 12" screw clamps for good measure.

Congrats....awesome sander that you will enjoy using.  I personally love pipe clamps.  Cheaper than bar clamps and orderly  for furniture making plus you can easily get longer sizes for the cost of pipe. I think 6 our 8 is a good number to handle most glue ups.

Pipe clamp needs one end threaded so unless you have a threader you'll need to get that 10 footer cut and threaded at the store.
