First time ever using iMovie, so it took me for - bloody - ever!

[size=14pt]I see that your financial backers there have deep pockets, Mrs Wow must have been selling a lot of her brownies!  [big grin]

When do you start exporting 240v? Excellent product potential there?

Great video, great narration, and see WOW,  IMovie wasn't that hard!!  [eek]

Edit. What's with the WalMart greeting thing!? "Hi, can I help you?"

Thanks guys!

[member=19746]Untidy Shop[/member] - 'Walmart Greeter' is usually an elderly person who stands or sits at the front of the store and greets everyone as they come in the door. I spent so much time welcoming new members to the FOG that I kinda felt like I deserved the title.

And Mrs. WOW makes fudge, not brownies - but you're forgiven for not remembering that.

[member=4637]r cash[/member] - Thanks! A *lot* of thought and planning went into this. I built and re-built it several times before I got to what you see here.

[member=37561]#Tee[/member] - I don't do anything 'halfway'. If I'm gonna build it, I'm gonna build it the way I want it. Compromises are for diplomats and politicians...

[tongue]

It took me about two months to design it, gather the pieces, and build it. And then I took it apart and re-built it. Several times. Then it took ANOTHER two months over the last week (OK, maybe it only *seemed* like two months?) to shoot and edit the video. I spent 14 hours on it today just finishing it up to make the deadline.

I am happy with how both the PowerTainer 3 and the video turned out. Now we'll see if either are good enough to win a prize?

Wow,

'Loved it, a very well, thought out accessory.

Definitely, not a slapped together production, script and narration. I assume that was your voice. Did you play the classical guitar, too?

Hi WOW,
My apologies to Mrs WOW, although I am sure that if she made brownies they would be as excellent as her fudge is reputed to be.

As for the video, fingers crossed for you: it is actually very good.

Now as to elderly door person for the FOG, based on your experience, you have my full support for it!  [big grin]

Great job on the power-sys Wayne. You have a very good narrator voice also, very calming. Or maybe it was the guitar. I don't know but I liked it. The editing wasn't half bad either.
I spent the coldest part of the winter studying Adobe Premiere and After Effects. They do amazing things but the learning curve is quite steep. So good luck with the contest.

Great Job!
Haha, that was great!

WOW, video was very good.  Great work.  Different take too.  Very professional.  You've got an opportunity in the voice over industry.  How many takes?

And by the way, pretty darn cool invention there.

I'm definitely enjoying all the comments - keep 'em coming. They make up for all the hours and pressure of getting this done.

[member=2128]downtheroad[/member] - Yes, that was my voice. No, it wasn't me on the guitar. I wish...

[member=17954]Charlie Mac[/member] - Thanks for the kind comments. In my misspent youth I was a radio announcer at a local station.

I played briefly with Premiere years ago when it was THE editing program for the Mac, but never went beyond 'playing' with it.

[member=27126]ChrisK1970[/member] - You've got one of my First Aid Systainers, so you shouldn't be THAT surprised, right? Like I've posted before, I seem to have a thing for systainers!  [big grin]

[member=18116]Clweed[/member] - I wonder why they call them MANicure's when mostly WOMEN get them? While I was editing I noticed that my fingers were kinda rough, but it was too late then. Anyway it proves I don't spend all of my time with my hands on a keyboard.

[member=6108]Sean Ackerman[/member] - I've done some Voice-Over work in the past, but the field is loaded with guys who sound just like me.

I did a few 'practice reads' to see how it sounded and to play with the phrasing and stuff. After I was finished tweaking the script,  I recorded the narration in one continuous take on the first try.

[member=27901]Billedis[/member] - I sorted through HOURS of music to find something that was soothing, but also wouldn't put you to sleep. I realized that this could easily end up sounding like a 'Sham-WOW!' commercial, which I desperately wanted to avoid. Thanks for letting me know that I succeeded.

Again, thank YOU for all the great comments! I'll be spending today recuperating...and reading your comments over and over.

[thumbs up]

Wow, Wow!  Great job with the planning and build of the station as well as the production of the video.  I would definitely be interested in buying one of these if you ever thought about making them.

I like the solution you came up with for battery charger storage.  I've seen some home-brew charger carriers and plywood power boxes, and none of them are half as useful as they are hokey looking.  Your system is clean and easy.

It could be worthwhile to appropriate parts of  the Sham-WOW commercial.

Excellent job Wayne.  Really first rate.

The video quality and the product quality live up to your 'sweat the small stuff' reputation that came with the first aid kits!

IF you are not going to produce these for sale, could you share a materials list for those of us who want to draft off of your ingenuity!

Thanks for sharing!  And good luck in the contest!

One continuous take!  That's the most impressive part of this whole thing ;)

i was expecting some drone camera flyby...just messing with you man...

great concept and terrific execution wow.  the narration is impressive too--you've got my vote to be the james earl jones of festooldom.

p.s.  i'm betting the next version will have a first aid kit worked into an attic sys lid--two of your great ideas put together.  the name might have to change to the POWER-t-AID-er
