need pad for old ro150e

Hi. I have a old RO150E. I need a new backing plate for this. I read that ETS 150 backing pad is correct for my machine, but when I compare the ETS150 pad with actual pad in my machine it look so different.

In this image my backing pad look as ETS125 pad

Can anyone tell me with backing pad is correct? can I change 150 pad to 125mm pad?

Mmmm, looks like the old pad on your machine was incorrect. As to my knowledge the old RO150E uses the same pad as the ETS150.

Have you tried it, does it fit?

Thanks for reply. No, i don´t try it. I only unmount the backing and search info. I found this post

and I will have the same problem because my backing pad have the same shape as the small backing in the image.

The old RO 150 E replacement pad is 498987.
It shares the same pad as the ETS 150, ETS EC 150 and LEX 150.

Thanks for reply but the ETS 150 is different connector to backing pad that my Ro150E.

When I remove my backing pad I have a connector as this and the backing pad is as the image

My backing pad is 145mm diameter in velcro, not 150mm ir 125mm

I see that you are in Spain.  You might need to call Festool and talk to an application specialist.  I would suggest having your serial number handy if the label is still readable.  Their number is +34 93 264 30 30.

I just checked the information sheet that came with my RO 150 E replacement pad.

It lists 5 different pads that vary from "Soft" to "Hard" and are held in place by an M8 Allen headed bolt & washer.

The 5 part numbers are 496145 (Soft), 496148, 496160, 496150 (Hard) & 496152.

This pad was a straight swop for my original that had been fitted when the sander was new in 2002.
