Hey guys, I need to send my kapex blade in for sharpening but I need to finish a project, Can I use a regular Fued 10" blade from Home Depot while i wait for my blade to come back?

If not i can run down to wood craft but would really like to finish this project this weekend and i don't dare finish it with my blade being dull. I hit a stupid nail cutting some reclaimed wood, Thought i got every nail out :(

TIA, i did a search and nothing showed up.

So long as it's the same size( bore , kerf etc ) you can use any make. I use trend and freud in my ts55r , work a treat.

No the blade on Kapex is specific to it. It is metric and don't think you will find at big box stores. Other manufacturers make blades for it but most likely will have to get at woodworking store.

It would need to have a 30mm diameter arbor and an OD no bigger than 260mm.

Thanks Guys! didnt know if US kapex's used the standard US arbor size.

Guess ill run down to woodcraft and grab a spare so i dont have any downtime between sharpening.

Is forrest still the recommended sharpening company for blades?

All of my blades, bits and shaper/planer/jointer knives are sharpened by LA Grinding of Burbank, California.

I drop my blades off at Downingtown Woodcraft and get them back a week later. You need to have extra blades anyway for sharpening and the errant nail.
Cheers
