Ok people, track saw users, no matter what brand name. I talked to Paul Akers the owner of #FastCap and I asked him if he can customize a bag for us.  Long enough to fit a 118" track saw but one end can roll down in case you don't have a track that long and able to storage more than 2 tracks.  What do you guys think about this? Please tag a track saw user and repost this if you like the idea, this way another track saw users will know about this.  Thx  #festool #makita #dewalt #tracksaw #tracksawbag #fastcap

I would like a bag that would hold a 75in rail.  It would even be better if it held two rails like the Festool bag.

I'd love either a bag or hard case, I use a Betterly alignment jig as well. If I had a pocket to store that I'd be in heaven. I would gladly pay a premium price for a quality product that will last and works well.

I would love someone to make a bag.  But if they were to I would suggest that they don't cut corners.  YKK zippers.  Neoprene or other padding.  Corner re-enforcements.  Perhaps tricot lined neoprene so that dividers inside can be set up for interior dividers.  On the exterior minimize velcro.  Velcro and sawdust does not work well.  Ballistic nylon fabric.

i would be interested in one. But i would like to see rigid or simi rigid sides. As my prized rails will need to be protected in transport.

I was browsing the Makita CA Web site and saw that they have a 3M bag, to go along with the 1400 bag. I know it's not Festool's,  but it's out there.

thank you guys for the feed back. I guess we are in the same boat, my main tracks are the 75 and 118 inches long and I really need a bag that can fit more than 3 tracks and long enough to fit those kind of tracks  of course be able to storage clamps or some kind of accessory    if we get together and pass this info  Im sure FastCap will have one on the market  how that sound?  I hope you guys understand my msg (sorry for my broken english)

I'll chime in:

Maybe something modular that can change length?
Either sections that connect to make it longer or, contrastingly,
something that starts at max length
and can collapse down for smaller rails?

This adds unintended R&D, so maybe no.

Festool used to make a bag that will hold 2 or more 1400 rails and was divided to also hold the parallels guides with extensions and some clamps, connectors etc.

It was sort of rigid, light opened on the top. Now I would be interested in that.
The 3000 rail is to large for most of us to transport. Now if they can come up with a system to store it and protect it in a shop that is semi rigid and opens from the top there may be some interest in that one.

Well. We should put all our ideas together and design a good bag for our rails  Allowing us storage more than 3 raíls and some  accesorios.  For now. Fastcap is going to work on a prototype.

Yea a couple of 1400 rails, a 1080 and a 800mm wouldn't take to much room. Along with the PGs, connectors and a few other bits should be doable.

If they want to get fancy maybe add some accessories like attachable side pockets.

The main thing is it should be portable to be able to move from job site to job site.

For the larger rails it should be storable and rigid enough to add some or of protection be light enough to move around the shop easy enough.

I travel for work most times and I use the Festool bag for 2 of my rails .
I put the connector in the Zipper pocket to connect the 2 risks together for longer cuts but, As Festool users know, you need short & long rails at the same time. I would be interested in some kind of protection when transporting my long rail. I have had to change the plastic edge before because it got dented and pulled off. Something semi rigid would be nice. Lets see what Fast cap comes up with.

Prototype should be here this week. And we go from there. I'll post some pics or video and we can see what we add or remove from that bag. For what I saw is going to have some kind of foam inside.  I'll post pics asap

Thx for the feedback

Ok so the bag is here. It's a prototype.  Long enough to fit a 118 inch rail (3000 mm)  It fits 5 rails. Has foam inside to keep them safe as same as the splint guard. Material is nice and strong ( if u have a flag from fastcap for the 3rd hand product , it's the same ). What would u add or change?
