“New” Domino connectors…what’s new?

So on the Festool website they are advertising “new” DF 500 connectors under the new tools section. For the life of me I don’t see anything new about them. They are the same Festool product number and connectors as I received in my four-year-old KV-SYS D8.
The current KV-SYS D8 (576797) looks different and in a possible different systainer. The interior compartments are definitely different than my old SYS D8(203170).
Just wondering if anyone knows what the differences in these new connectors. Thanks for any help

I'm not sure what this is but I've been hoping for an answer to the Lamello Zeta Tenso connector. It would be neat to have a self-clamping option.

Ve ry possibly just a different sustainer to integrate better with the rest of the new style.  The systainer shown in the new part number image looks like the new style.

I guess I kind of get that but then they should’ve simply shown the whole set as “new”. I find it rather misleading to be honest. I started wondering if my old connectors were not the same as the new connectors etc.

While researching this post I noticed that the SV-SYS D14 kit is no longer available from Festool USA.

The early 201353 kit in the T-Loc Systainer, was obsoleted by the 576795 kit when the new Systainer³ came on the scene. However, it's no longer offered on the Festool USA, Canada or the UK websites.

Thanks cheese. “New” domino connectors means new systainer 😀

Ya, what Festool seems to do is to add new products to their "New Tools" page and then never remove them. The only thing they move is the small NEW in the upper RH corner.

Actually, the D8/50 connectors were indeed new items in 2018 when they were added to that New Tools page along with the MX 1200 stirrer and the Bluetooth items.
