Besides the NEW CTL-SYS, C 18 and DSC-AG 125 FH-Plus I spotted on several web-sites also a NEW HKC 55 HandKreissäge (HK) battery powered (C).
This means it's a regular circular saw without the plunge mechanism.
And that's a novelty for Festool which name is synonymously with the plunge saw since almost 40 years.
I haven't seen any pictures of it yet but it's mentioned together with all the other battery powered tools.

There will be a HKC 55 Basic, HKC 55 PLUS and HKC 55 SET.

It is not a novelty for them, they have had many normal circular saws over the years, just not the last 15 or so.

Hi Alex, yes you are right I also remember the AP 55/65/68/85/ and 88 versions.
But nobody knows or use them any more.
I was just surprised that Festool brings out this kind of saw again, if it is true?

Here it is! I Will buy IT!!!!

does that last picture show it attached to a differnt type of rail, look a bit like the mafell kss 300 type system

just found some photos on google images, and it does appear it is a mafell kss type saw/system, cant find any other info or website for more information

Id buy this in a minute!

Instead we get a silly shop vac made for Smurphs and a oscillating tool that is no more innovative than the competition.

A battery powered circular saw with dust collection that can ride on a track is something to get excited about.

From what I was told by someone who's in the know [wink]  [wink], it's a different rail to the one that's currently available.  I've been wanting to mention this saw for a few weeks now but thought it best not to mention it until an official announcement by festool.

I wasn't aware that the saw is cordless, it might just be a better option over the TSC 55 for those of us who already own the corded TS 55.

why keep it a secret, its a forum and ive spent my money on a mafell kss300 last year and a kss400 this year, so its festools loss. I did buy a ts55 cordless this year as well and i would have liked to have known about this, so hence i wont be buying it.

yes thats the picture i saw but can't find any other info, even tho i wont be buying it.

Anyone know what the cost in the UK is going to be for this saw, compared to the TSC 55

Not sure if this post was in response to mine, if it was then the reason to not mention it earlier is fairly straight forward in my mind at least.  Festool must invest a great deal in R&D and marketing,  I think it would be unfair to mention a new products details before the company makes a mention of it.

Ultimately we'd all like to know details of every new Festool being released to be able to plan future purchases, but ask yourself if you we're about to launch a product and someone spilled the beans to your customers as well as your competitors would you be pleased?

That's how feel about it, others may disagree.

It's sure a 18 V and on the last picture in this thread you can see 2 batteries. But I'm not sure.
Like the TSC 55 it will probably run on 1 or 2 batteries.

The new track is called Kappschienen FSK 670.
Looks like a short cross cut track 670 mm long.
There is even a new bag available.

If it was 18/36v i would probably get one  [big grin]  If its just 18v i wouldn't  bother. I have the 18v Hilti which is great for up to 25mm, and i have the 36v Hilti which is great for everything else.  I doubt it could replace the 36v Hilti for cutting depth but i could get rid of the 18v Hilti and use if for everything up to 50mm.. (i have a fair amount of the Festool 18v batteries now  [smile] )

john...

Yes Ideal Homes that post was response to yours. Yes i kinda agree with you but, someone told you about it! because one has to ask the question to someone. I was at toolfair in harogate the other week and i always try to get new tool info, but they would not say much, so i spent my money at the mafell stand again. Just on a side note mafells build quality far exceeds festools so ime happy with my purchases. Got 3 mafell saws, and around 20 various festools.

I was asking about an update, if any to the kapex and was told "no info on that but here's what's coming up in the next few months", that's how I got the info on the latest releases.

I think he realised pretty quickly that he'd made a big boo boo telling me, that combined with recent talk on here about dealers/employees getting a rollocking for leaking info on new releases I thought it best not to share the info with the group. Sorry guys
