have you got any pics of your y setup? have you got blast gates on it also?grainhaus said:tallgrass said:I believe it has to do with the distance from the input of the separator and the input of the vacuum. I asked this question and apparently that distance is fixed.
My guess is only because the angled connector on the MIDI is not in the front and is located in the back of the hose garage. The length of the fixed hose from the separator will not reach and also not angled to fit on the MINI/MIDI. To say that it is not compatible however isn't fully accurate(I believe) and can be fixed with a DIY made extension like I have on my MIDI, I created a small extension of 36mm hose with the "Y" adapter for 2 hoses in my shop. This puts the hose connector in the front, the perfect area like the other 26/36/46 Vacs and should work not problem with the separator. Hopefully I am correct, I would love to get one for my midi!

[member=474]PeterK[/member], those specs are on our website. The height with the container is 20", without the container is 12½".

A proper cyclone has a 3:1 height:diameter ratio which reduces static pressure loss and aids in separation. That's why the DD is so tall. Clearly the CT Separator doesn't have that, so what's in the top of the CT Separator? Is it more like a Thien Baffle design?
