NEW! Festool Sys-Rock, AirStream Batteries/Charger + Domino RTA Connectors (US)

To answer an earlier question, the SCA 8 and TCL 6 are a different size to the TCL 3 so will not fit in existing Systainer inserts.

Shane,

I may have missed it in the video... do you know if the SysRock will charge your phone will plugged into it (and while the SysRock is plugged into the power source)?

Just to confirm the dab radio will charge phones over the USB. I picked one up last weekend at a tool show- first to enter the country the rep said. So far been happy with it. The dab and phone charging capabilities is worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Just to be clear, the *new* DAB+ version of the SYSROCK BR 10 available in Europe can charge a mobile device via an integrated USB port. The non-DAB+ version of the BR 10 (which I believe is what will be sold in the US) does not have this capability.

That's correct. The version sold in NA is SYSROCK BR 10. Only the SYSROCK BR 10 DAB+ has the integrated USB interface.

[member=60593]Chance B[/member], it would seem no USB port on the U.S. version of the Sys-Rock. Thanks for the assist, [member=57769]TylerC[/member] and [member=11629]GarryMartin[/member].

Please note that the prices have increased slightly on some of the cordless tools that will now have AirStream included. Just sharing info so everyone can make the best purchasing decision.  [wink]

[member=37561]#Tee[/member], good question. No internal battery. You can power it with AC power or with an external Festool battery pack.

thanks shane, maybe in the future they can make a sys roc lite, led flash light built in speaker would be the ultimate :), im sad theres no usb support for the us version :(

Here's a look at the backside. With the AC power, you have a hanging hook. You can just slide that part off and replace it with a battery pack.

There you go tee!!

Kind of like a centrotec setup for the battery platform. Battery in back, lights with control board and switch, USB charging plate, radio interface, all sorts of things!

Cheers. Bryan.

The SysRock does not have a built in battery like the KAL II SysLite?  If not, that's a problem.  You can't use the hook when an auxiliary battery is in place so you are forced to use the AC adapter cord anytime the hook is used?  That really limits when you can use the hook.

And the Syslite Duo does not have a standard tripod socket or an on/off switch but the SysRock and SysLite do?  Quirky design decisions.  A little common sense, please.

Really? Is it a non-standard thread, or is it also non-standard in some other awkward way?
That does seem a bit of an odd thing to do. I'd considered a Duo, but I'd want to be able to attach it to all sorts of combinations of photographic tripods, booms and contraptions that I already have access to.

With regard to an on/off switch for the Duo, is there any reason - apart from the feeling that perhaps one shouldn't have to, and voiding any warranty of course - one could not (or should not) introduce an in-line switch into the cable?

Nope, no internal battery for the Sys-Rock. You can use AC power or a Festool flat pack battery.

And, the DUO does not have a standard thread/socket. Correct.

.....and the bass is driven by the voltage so the high the voltage the better the bass

One last question about the SYS-ROCK. Does it come with a DC adapter or do I have to purchase a separate one? Either generic or Festool? Thanks!

Let me verify, but I do not believe it comes with an auto adapter. It does come with a plug for use with AC power.

Abram said:
Thanks Shane, I meant AC...  [embarassed]

Yes, AC adapter included.

Also confirmed no auto adapter. The SysRock is 18v internally and auto is usualy 12v so not compatible.
