Just had an email from Festool Belgium to announce there presence on Prowood, a trade fair, that starts next Sunday, 21 October.
They announce that they will reveal, in world premiere, a new CT.
"Compact, mobile, tout through" and "many extras that will make your professional life easier" that's everything they have to say for now, no picture.
So what do you think they will come out with? I'm guessing battery powered.
I am going to the fair on Sunday, I will keep you guys posted, unless someone else already finds out what it is.

I hope something modular. Something like CT SYS that attaches to your choice of Sys style containers (1 through 5) or a Sys-like cyclone in between without external hoses. All that on your choice of Sys-carts.

I’m sure it will suck, much like the rest of the Festool vacs
It will also come in gray and black colors with green knobs.

My guess is more boring (but with some insight from a dealership): they are simply upgrading the CTL line to M-class with new filters and releasing the 26 CTL/M with built in BlueTooth. Calling it "new" is a bit of a stretch.

It is not a big deal for most pros on smaller to medium sized job sites but over here they slap you with an instant fine if you don't operate an M-class vac on site on the larger jobsites. Then they will hit you again with an instant fine if you still do it after check up - which could be the next day. The fine is about 1500 Euro so the new M class Vac will be a lot cheaper than receiving a single fine. So in that sense the M classification is welcome for a lot of medium to larger companies or subcontractors.

As far as the dealer knew there are no battery vacs being released though we both agreed a CTL SYS with Bluetooth, cordless and corded option would be a game changer. ;)

Also, the dealer told me there actually is an 18V Impact in the pipe - which is about time I would say.

The dealer was a bit surprised I "knew" about an Impact in the pipe but I told him it has been a standing rumor and mentioned by a Festool rep over a year ago. I was vaguely told it was due in 2018 - which is almost over - but not yet. ;)

When asked if there was any chance it would surface this year this dealer did not think it would show up anytime soon though.

Whatever it is, Im willing to bet itll have bluetooth built in along with any future vacs they release.

Yeah, that is what I heard - so more of an update on the Vac's I'd say.

Great to hear about the Impact and a cordless Vecturo is also a welcome addition to the line up. :)
