Hi All. New guy checking in. Just wanted to say hi. I’m a newbie in woodworking and have discovered the world of Festool. Been researching tools for a while now and with the help of this forum, I’ve found some direction and inspiration.

I’ve also discovered the Recon site which may be a good or bad thing. Lol. I received a pristine ct26 a couple weeks ago from the site, and I’m waiting delivery on a sander and ts55 tomorrow from Beaver tools. Like Festool this site is first class and I look forward to participating and learning. I also have a free hat and T-shirt coming  [big grin]

Welcome.  I also agree with you about the recon site being a good / bad thing.  I'm tending to lean toward the more of a bad thing as I've spent a lot more than I had planned on that site.  Good call on ordering from Beaver.  I also ordered from them since they were including either a free hat or t shirt or both depending on how much you ordered.

Thanks for the welcoming. The order from Beaver was a win win for me. I was able to pick up both items that were discontinued at a great price. For just a little more than the recon price I got brand new with the 3 year warranty. Makes owning Festool less painful, this time around. [smile]. Thanks again.
