I think they're at about or close to the limit...because most folks use these saws on a guide rail, bending isn't as much of an issue compared to conventional carpentry saws used off-rail. I'm definitely going to pick up a 1.6mm kerf blade and try it on my TSC 55 K. The difference between a 2.2 blade versus a 1.8 blade is huge...I haven't used my TS 55 with the 2.2 blade in about 5 years.

I think i will pick one up too for my tsc 55 too, as you stated 0.4mm difference was major according to you and others, thanks.

It's true. The difference is significant. I keep a 12T Tenryu on the old TS 55 EQ and the stock blade on the TS 55 FEQ - that thing cuts like butter.
