Ever since the Inca bandsaws were taken off the market, I've been looking for a great little bandsaw. I can hardly wait to see them in action......... ;D

I have been using the Festool CMS with the TS75 saw for some time now and can say it is as competent as any comparable table saw, but far more portable and versatile.
It has a sliding table with a very accurate mitre fence which also doubles up as an equally accurate rip fence. There is a separate cross cut fence available should you need one.
I can cross cut sheet material over 600mm wide totally square and accurately rip material to over 350mm wide. I can also make single and compound mitre cuts.
In addition I have the router table module in which I have the big Triton half inch router permanently mounted, this works really well.
I have just purchased a Festool PS300 jig saw and when funds allow I will be buying the CMS module for this.
I have always wanted a top spec table saw with sliding table but in my 18ft x 8ft workshop I don't have the room, but having taken the plunge for the CMS this does everything a table saw does and more plus it doubles as a router table and is portable as well.
When the CMS becomes available in the US I strongly recommend you check it out, you wont be disappointed.

Mike, FWIW used Inca bandsaws are readily available for surprising little money in this neck of the woods (the Netherlands) but I'm afraid that shipping a machine to the US would be expensive...

There sure is a lot of thoughts and comments here...but I think everyone missed the folding legs. I am sure Festool will be adding a version with articulated folding legs so that the whole unit can walk on its own ready to go to work at any website. It has to be...but maybe after the March introduction...something about UL or the actors guild.

Looks to me that you have all the existing functionality and a lot added.  Works for me, who was very skeptical about the side clamping and is elated about not losing any of the great functions of the MFT 1080 and I love the new miter fence!!

The MFK 700 is also WAY up there on my list of must have widgets!

A little birdie at Festool Junkie called me and gave me the following prices

OF 2200 -> $800 ish

MFK 700 with accessories will set you back -> $550 ish

MFT 3 -> $575 ish

Maybe that was my pricing and yours will be better. I am a real pain in the backside and make Timmy work for his sales.

Well - Dan, that is kind of scary. Really - $800 for a router? I'm not in the market for a big one but golly!! And, add $135 to the old MFT price? Wowzer. We have got to get the US dollar strong again. Now, I am a Festool addict but this is getting painful. I am sure I will be lusting after the MFK700 but having paid $200 for the full blown Bosch kit recently gives me pause. I have this thing about routers - 10 at last count. Sure can't let the wife see them all!!!!!!!! Going to have to sell some more stuff .

The 2200 is definately a WOW!  But WOW!!!!  I can't wait to put it head to head with the 7518.  Free handing raised panels perhaps..."Portable Shaper Anyone?"  $800 is correct

The MFK700 is gonna be hot.  Like I said, this will be the "go-to" router for sure!  $510 for the set

The MFT/3 and the new tweeks look awesome!  The angle arm slides to give added work space, and rigidity, it looks like a good deal to me, It'll definitely sell big even at $575

Some other kewl additions are "Sam's Club/Costco" bags.  Can I say that?  I haven't done the math yet, but there will be 20 packs for the 22 $100, and 20 pack for the 33 $110.  My head is spinning...somebody post the math.

The Base Kit for the 2200 router is two fold.  There is an "Inches" version for $310 and a "Metric" version for $400.  The kie has the various bases and template guides.  Again, Pricey But "Dude, It's a Honkin' Router that can tear it up!"

I'm a bit sad that only one leg of the MFT3 is adjustable. That keeps it from rocking, i guess, but you can't make it level so your screwdriver doesn't roll off and in to that bucket of paint that someone put there. I'm sure that is a worst case scenario.

Still, I like things level. Especially very expensive things.

My local dealer said availability was May 1. (and the kapex availability was july 1) I looked over his shoulder and saw it printed on a festool dealer release, so it has to be true!
