New RACK of MINI systainers

And that might then lead to what Coen already said, maybe we are going to see some minis pre-filled and in corresponding/matching CI from leading manufacturers.

Kind regards,
Oliver

That would be cool/interesting.

It's not that it doesn't already exist, for example from Knipex:https://www.knipex.de/produkte/crim...er-aderendhuelsen-mit-kunststoffkragen/979023

Yeah they a bunch of those assortments with different pliers. But they must fit pretty akward, since a Multistrip 16 is 122mm wide, so it would only fit in there next to the stacked (??) wire ferrules with the handles closed against the spring. So the inlay with ferrules is spring loaded too by that? Yeah... not so sure if that is a good idea.
Not sure if I would even want to store the Multistrip 16 with it's handles closed against it's spring.

Knipex must think there is nothing wrong with that, otherwise they wouldn't offer it like this. Yes, the ferrules are stacked. I have multiple of these sets, no issues - it's not like those little devil-heads in a box. ;)

Kind regards,
Oliver

Meh, 1/2" MDF, cut on the CNC, and some leftover house paint. Works great if you're not mobile.....  8)

It is a sweet cherry Paul!
Has really helped me out with all my foam cutting tasks.

Got it at KaizenSource(used to be KaizenInserts)a while ago,
the insert was actually designed for a small Milwaukee Packout, I asked em if they had
One for a Mini Systainer and they replied nay.
So I modified it a bit and it fit quite nicely in that clear lid Mini .

Couldn’t find the link for that specific product, but I see they do have two larger sets available these days:https://www.kaizensource.com/?product/kzen-cutkitx/kaizen-cut-kit-xstream-complete-sethttps://www.kaizensource.com/?product/kzen-cutkit/kaizen-cut-kit

Only things I added were an additional knife(Exacto) and a long thin pin/poker type thing that I use sometimes to trace …in cases where the long nose markers are too bulky or unwieldy.

I'm totally missing out on these ll and lll minis  [eek]
For the record, there is/was no "MINI II". There is only MINI I and MINI III, the MINI III being twice as high as a MINI I.

I still do not get the point, as a general use case. Can se it useful for givin out lunch boxes with stuff on a site etc. Just not for any permanent storage in a shop.

Though the flexibility and options are very welcome. Now if only the 1/2 height drawers from the classic Sortainers got a follow-up for small stuff ...

Well that seems silly  [scared] How do you get from l to lll without a ll ? and why would lll be twice as tall as a l, unless a ll was 1.5 times the height of a l?

Oh darn, that T-loc thinking is messing me up  [blink]  [big grin]

That has always been. While 4 is double height of 2, 3 is double height of 1. And while 1+4=5, 3+3 is also 5
They should have named them for their multiples of 52.5
But that's too late now.

Yeah .. same as there being no MAXI I ... which I would actually have a use case for measuring kit ... only a MAXI II and MAXI III .. guess comes from the concept of transporting those as "suitcases".

ADD:
By the way, it is an utter shame Festool did not properly promote the MAXIs.
These are EXCELLENT as "transportable shop animals" in a SYS-PORT style setup. Those additional 100 mm of depth allow for better under-bench space utilisation AND the catches can be left permanently open without bothering anything. Just pull the drawer, open lid, take tool/accessory. No "single-hand-open" like with the T-Loc is needed.
A MAXI I would be an excellent addition for that for small parts storage top drawer (SYS I small parts inserts style), as well as for long flat pieces etc.

Thanks for sharing, there are some interesting sets/kits there. The UK site has the UK list prices. They are generally quite expensive (unsurprisingly) although the first aid kit is about £50 which seems pretty good value for what you get. It would be a good one to keep in a car too.
