If you mean the old hose has some memory to it and feels a bit rigid, that’s a by product of these anti static hoses. But the new hoses improve upon both significantly. The hose has almost no memory and is much more flexible. I like them. But, the cost to buy a new hose vs selling the extractor and getting a newer model with the Bluetooth connectivity and newer hose is something to consider (especially if you were contemplating a new tool purchase that gets you a 10% discount from the extractor). I just did this, the net cost to get a new one was $150. The hose by itself was $160.
