Yesterday I came across this new style Maffel. The guys working outside the workshop is an interesting piece in the collection.

[thumbs up]

Man that thing looks sexy!  I hope we get it in the U.S. One day in the next year!

Thanks for sharing. Bryan.

There are several threads about it already. Search the forum for "HKC".  [wink]

Looks sweet.

No ETA for the HKC, but the TSC 55 REQ comes out June 1.

By no ETA, do you mean that it is something that is likely to make its way this side of the pond?

Batteries are interchangeable, meaning the Batteries for my year old C12 and my new C18 can share the same charger.. Though when I called Festool about this, my future ex wife told me that you can go up with the batteries, meaning the 18 v can be used on my 12 v but not the other way around. I personally think unofficially that the 12 v will work, but will need recharging faster in less time then the 18v will.

It's the other way around.  You can only use the battery the tool is rated or lower, but not higher.  Meaning, the 18v range can use any battery, 18v or the lower voltage batteries.  The 15v drill and impact can use the 15v and 12v batteries.  The 12v drill can only 12v batteries.

The reason for this is because the electronics in the tools can't handle voltages higher than they are rated for, but they do work just fine, although, at a reduced speed/power, with lower voltage batteries.  The batteries are keyed to only fit tools that will work with.  So, if a battery fits on the tool, it is meant to work safely with the tool.

At this time there are no guarantees we will see it in the US.

Brent.

Ok I'll have get out in the shop and try it. I do know they fit both chargers

Well, just placed my order for PDC- I opted for the basic since I have a T18+3 set- share the charger- but I did buy two new batteries too.  Seemed to be the most economical way for me to go.

Now I just need to be patient while it ships.

Thanks to all for the advice!

Regards,
Gerald

Thanks for the order!  [thumbs up]

Just a reminder that we have the much sought after Centrotec Sets at 20% off too, while supplies last.

Looking forward to seeing some reviews/observations on the FOG in the coming days from owners of shiny new Systainers.  [wink]

Bryan, I was there when the guys were receiving all of the new goodies into the warehouse but I don't remember seeing any of the limited edition knobs. Lemme me check with the fellas to confirm and get back to you in the AM.

For those who aren't aware, Festool (and specifically Festool USA) has announced that they will be featuring limited edition T-LOC knobs with the "90 years" and "New 5,2Ah" logos embossed on them. They're available while supplies last and cannot be ordered separately. I'll keep you guys posted on what we have in stock with these since I know some of you will want them.

Sorry for the slower-than-normal replies. I guess I'm now affected by the lack of notifications from the forum as well.  [sad]

Thanks Shane. I was hoping for the 90 OR the 5.2. Oh well.

Look forward to putting new deck boards down with my PDC!

Cheers. Bryan.

So, here's the scoop on the limited edition T-LOCs. It's possible as we get more inventory, which is constantly rolling into the warehouse, that we'll have other tools with these. Once they're gone and Festool runs out, that's it. No more. So, be sure to order early to reserve yours.

The following have 5.2Ah T-LOC embossed knobs:

561718 TSC 55 PLUS
564597 PDC SET
564598 BHC PLUS
564575 T18 SET
