New Van Racking

Excellent work, what really impressed was the little things such as the dowel pins to prevent systainers falling out.

If I'm not mistaken, those are dominoes.

On second inspection, this time with my glasses on, I stand corrected 'O honourable master'.  [big grin]

Still nice touch and problem solving.

Hi bikeboy80

Nice racking, I have a question, in the third photo you have some yellow trestles, who makes them?

Regards
Leigh

Looks like you're running out of space already [smile]

Cool fit out - makes me wish I had a need to drive mine about!

Thanks for the complements guys! [thumbs up]

I had some more time today to add a drawer for some of my battery tools and a pull out shelf that can be used as a small work surface. Spent some time also trying to get the back corner set up with all of my long poles, not 100% but it is a start. Last week I closed in above the bulkhead but still haven't decided how to fully utilize the space yet. I need to keep some of it open to allow for 12' long trim to fit inside.

The van is looking fairly full but a few of the systainers have a few things just thrown in until I can get foam into them.

Here is a few updated photos:

I have a Sprinter and did something similar but need to make some tweaks to it. After using a big space like that organization is key so you can find anything quickly. And wow you have a lot of systainers. I would say I am green with envy but I think it might be the koolaid that made me green. It looks like you could run for president of the koolaid club.

I put it on the MFT. I usually don't end up using my Ts at the same time as the Kapex, if I need to I set up the saw horses with some sacrificial boards to cut on.

Great looking truck inside and out.  The only suggestion I have is the dominos for the Kapex.  The dominos would probably work, but I would feel more comfortable with some type of strap considering the cost of the kapex.  Just a suggestion.

I got to see his van yesterday, Absolutely incredible. Pictures really dont do its justice..Alot of clever thinking went into this one!

I took advantage of the beautiful weather here today and finished off some of the areas that I have been stumped on. One of the main areas is the "mothers attic" area above the front seats. I didn't want to put anything too heavy up there for obvious reasons. [eek] So I created some areas for some smaller stuff, rags, shims, gloves and shoe covers. I also made space for my battery chargers and tool belt. On the left side I left open to allow for 12' trim to fit inside.

I also came up with a more permanent solution to hold the MFT in place. Installed a pair of T nuts and used  threaded "feet" like you would see on the bottom of chairs as a knob to clamp the MFT to the bulkhead. It worked out really well, I will take a picture of these "knobs" if anyone is interested.

There were a few other tweaks that I made but nothing crazy. [big grin]

Great photos..

Have a  question

Where do you put your rails for the Ts?

It's in one of the earlier pictures, passenger side (right looking from the rear) all the way at the top. Made a long plywood box to fit three rails.
