These are expected to shipment in July.

Am I wrong to assume that the larger version will be better for truing the MFT?  Is there any advantage to the smaller model, besides cost, of course?

The larger the surface, the better your results generally speaking. So, for the MFT the 18" would be ideal, correct.

Not necessarily true. They are both guaranteed to have a tolerance of less than 0.001" per foot, so your 18" triangle could be as inaccurate as the 12", i.e. 0.0015 over 18".

Personally I prefer squaring my MFT with the triangle over the precision square. It rests on the table better.

I don't think the rails are made within the same tolerances, and they certainly get knocked around a lot, so the larger contact area can potentially help mitigate the effects of squaring up what happens to be a belly in the rail.

I wish that Woodpecker or some other enterprising company (hint...  [wink]) would offer reasonable shipping to the UK for these items.

I've considered ordering multiple Woodpecker items in the past, but with the crazy shipping costs it just doesn't work out cost effective. I'm not sure why Woodpecker charge so much for shipping, I often purchase much bigger, bulkier and more costly items from the US and have never had to pay anywhere near as much for shipping :(

[member=60226]prae5[/member], unfortunately, we do not offer shipping abroad.

Thanks to all who have ordered so far. This is definitely going to be a popular OneTime Tool. Don't miss out on your opportunity to snag one.

If its any use to you, I have shipped to several International Foggers from the USA. All I ask is that you cover the airmail costs, I dont jack up the price on you! It may be a little different with these One Time Tool offerings as the lag time is typically several months, but if you are interested send me a message

Get a hold of woodcraft.com they ship to the UK.

They sell woodpeckers products. A bud of mine ordered the Jessum hold downs for the CMS. Said it wasn't to painful.

You should use OneTimeShipping .. they're great. Last week I cleaned up buy pre-ordering 30 deliveries from Greenland to New Guinea that are only available for August 2017. Can't wait to use those shipping opportunities [wink]

I cannot see spending $300 on a set of squares that are almost 1/2 the price of an MFT. 8)

But I ordered a set anyhow  [embarassed]

You can check with Gereedschappro.nl if they would ship you a set to the UK. Would have to be quick as the deadline is today...

Broke down and placed an order for the 12" at the last minute.  I considered the 18", but since I have other ways to square up my MFT, I figured the 12" might be more useful for things like box assembly, scribing on dimensional lumber 1x12 and less, etc.  The measuring and layout section of my shop wall is starting to get pretty tight...

Here's the latest offering from Woodpeckers in their OneTime Tool series. Available in a Systainer.
