Newbie! Connect Festool Sander to Festool Vac

Just got the new toys.  Yea I know where the plug is [big grin]

Am I missing an adapter to connect the sander to the vac or is it someplace I do not see?  Sander has smaller diameter than the track saw.  [embarassed]

You have probably figured it out already but hose goes inside saw and sander goes inside hose.

[scared]  Not that new!  [big grin]  the sander dust port is smaller. I am guess that is the 26mm port.  The Vac hose that came with the Vac/Track saw combo is larger. I am guessing that is the 36mm hose.  So I need a 36 to 26 adapter?  Or are there 26 mm adapters that I can put on each end of a piece of 36mm hose if I shorten a piece off the existing new hose??

Hmmmm i thought 27mm hose is standard on ct's.

yes it is.  Had unit one day.  jeez.

Issue is i do not have any 27 mm hose to make the adapter.  Only 36 mm hose from the Dust Collector to the track saw.  Do they make an adapter that is 27 mm on the end and it fits onto 36mm hose. If so, two of these will work if i cut a piece off the 36 mm hose?

In Europe it is sold as an official Festool part (link), but not in America, so you'll have to buy it from a 3rd party.

Works like a charme to connect the smaller diameter Fezstools like the MKF router to the vac.

I use Fein adaptors on all my sanders and routers.  They make a Flex Hose End Adaptor 921069K13 - $1.50 and a Vac Step Adaptor
921072K13 - $4.25.  I buy these from coastaltool.com.
