I Need a little help here....brand new guy to this forum and I know nothing about Festool.  I know that's weird, but I didn't know where else to go with this.  I inherited some festool equipment, and with the exception of the scroll saw which I think I am going to keep, I would like to sell this stuff as a package.  It was purchased by a friend of mine who did woodworking for a hobby.  I'm not sure how old this stuff is (but I'm guessing the members here will just by the model numbers, serial numbers, or packaging).  This equipment looks to me to have very little use.  I own a Furniture repair business, and have little use for duplicate tools.  I know Festool is a quality brand, but don't know the value of what I have.  Here is what I am trying to sell as a package...I have photos but don't know how to post them:  [embarassed]

RO150e-plus sander, ATF55-E circular saw, Cleantec ct mini vacuum, MFT 800 folding table, and 2 guides and a cam action stop of some kind that I think are for the circular saw.  Everything looks real clean except for the table.  It has some stains on the MDF top and the aluminum frame looks a little pitted at the corners.  Everything stacks on top of the vacuum and clips together.  A woodworker I know said I probably have over $1,000. worth of equipment, but I don't know if that's accurate.  Can any of you Festool gurus help me out please.  I apologize if I'm not posting in the right area, but I searched the forums but didn't see another post similar to this.  you can email privately (if that's allowed here) at wooddocinc@aol.com.  Thanks in advance!

The above post was moved so that the poster could get some input from the members which would be impossible if it had stayed in the Classified Board.  If a price is established and items are actually placed for sale then this thread will be moved back to the Classified Board and the normal conditions will apply.

What I guess it's worth if it's all in good, working order:

RO150e-plus sander = $150-175 (depends if the velcro pad is ok, if not, deduct price for a new pad)

ATF55-E circular saw + 2 guides and a cam action stop = $250-300

Cleantec ct mini vacuum = $200 (check if the hose is ok, if not, weep, as it's a very pricey part to replace)

MFT 800 folding table = $200-300

Bit difficult to judge for me as I'm not from the States, but from what I've read here over the years, I don't think I'll be that far off.

You can always search for these items on eBay or Craigslist and see what other people are asking.

But if I were you, I'd keep the Festools and sell the duplicates of other brands. Beware of the slippery slope though.

Alex is pretty close I think from what I have seen.  I also agree with him that I would keep the Festool stuff and sell your other stuff...try it out and you will see how amazing it is.  Just my .02

My honest opinion,

Start using the stuff, you have alot of quality tools there. Even if they are duplicates start using them and you will quickly grow to love them and find that you will sell your other ones. The RO150 is a beast of a sander, the ATF55 is older but still a great saw, the CT-Mini is AWESOME!

For what it's worth......about 8 month ago I bought a MFT 1080 with out the fence and rail and no cuts in the top for $200.  It looked new.  And in case you are unaware, the MFT 1080 is bigger then the MFT 800.

Then again, I'm not sure if the guy I bought it from was just trying to get rid of it, or if he didn't know what he was selling.  But I thought the $200 was a fair price.

If you know nothing of Festool, then at lease plug the RO 150, hook it up the Ct mini and sand something.  You might want to keep that little treasure that you inherited  [tongue] !

In my opinion you will get less by selling it as a package since not everyone wants all these tools, but I understand its a lot less trouble to sell all in one swoop. I would try local craigslist or on this site. Ebay works well for festool, but its might be a little hard to ship all that stuff.

Alex is shockingly accurate in his pricing and details to check considering that he is on another Continent and uses another currency.

If the hose is perfect on the vac and the unit is like new, it might bring a bit more than $200.

I agree with Eric on the MFT. The MFT/3 is a big improvement and not compatible with the older units. The buyer for a MFT 800 is going to be someone that already has one or two and wants another. That makes it worth less unless you find that exact person and they aren't practical to ship.

Are one of the rails longer than 55"? Longer is worth more money. Extra blades?

I suggest you put an add in the classified here but be ready to split it up: Sander, Saw & rails, MFT.
