No warrantee card?

Today I purchased a T18 and a CT SYS.  Neither one came with a warrantee card.  Has FT gone to all digital warrantee, or do I have to request a card?

You should be able to register them in the website (using the part# and serial#), but as long as these services are offline as of the 'website upgrade' you'll have to resort to contacting your local festool headquarters to get your warranty certificate.

I only ask about the card, because my Domino and Pro 5 both had cards and both were purchased in November of 2016.  I will contact my vendor and report back. Thanks all.

Definitely check with the vendor. I work a second job on weekends at a festool dealer and we take the cards out at time of purchase and register the tools on the customers behalf to ensure it is done within the required time frame. Having said that, if that was done you should have had an email from festool confirming withinna few days.

A simple phone call to the vendor that sold you the tools will quickly confirm whether or not they registered for you.  That was the norm here in NA.  I have no idea if it still is especially with the the popularity of internet purchasing.

If they didn't (which I doubt whereas the cards are missing) then you can ask them to register it for you.  I don't believe that the Festool USA tool registration page is currently working (or perhaps I am confusing this with the My Festool portion).

Perhaps a dealer with an internet store like [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] can let us know how registrations are handled by the Tool Nut.

I contacted the vendor and they did not register either tool.  They have blank cards and I will pick them up soon. The drill was open box, so I understand why the card is missing, but the Ct SYS was factory sealed with no warranty card.

Never needed a card to register them, did it online and product# + serial# was enough.
Dosn't work at the moment in the USA though as that part of the website is gone, to return in some moments months [blink]

It's been a couple of years since I worked at Festool, but Germany used to exclude warranty cards for U.S. tools. However sometimes they would be included. That's why you may see them in some tools but not others. In Europe, companies can require registration of a product to enable the warranty. That's unlawful in the U.S. So registration isn't required for warranty in the U.S. for any product, including Festool.

Hope that explains the warranty card situation a bit.

As mentioned, you can always register your tool on the Festool USA website in addition to relying on your dealer. That's the best way to ensure complete and accurate registration info. Having worked on the inside, I've seen where wrong or missing data existed with dealer registered tools.

I'm curious, but is there any way of knowing if our dealers register our tools for us? I've never sent or filled out the online registration.
