Hey all, I'm looking for things a woodworker might like in northern NY and VT. Tool shops, museums, historic houses, etcetera. I'll be starting in the Albany area near Glens Falls, then up to the Adirondacks and over to Stowe. Thanks for any suggestions.

It's a bit farther than Stowe, and not specific to woodworking, but you might enjoy the American Precision Museum in Windsor VT, along the Connecticut River.https://www.americanprecision.org

A good bit farther yet is Frye's Measure Mill in Wilton, NH, which manufactures Shaker style boxes in a water powered mill, and has been in operation since 1858. Wilton would be around 3 hours driving time from Albany.http://www.fryesmeasuremill.com/intro.html

There are various small and medium scale furniture manufactures around VT, but the only one I am specifically familiar with is Pampanoosuc Mills, which is in East Thetford, VT. Also near the CT river. They do have workshop tours, and make very nice products.https://www.pompy.com/about-us/visit-the-workshop/7/241

Thanks belatedly for the post [member=61230]pixelated[/member], I now have those spots on my list but we didn't get around to them this time. I did have the pleasure of coincidentally driving by the Yestermorrow design/build school and stopping in for a brief tour.
