Would a jointer make this better?[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]  This looks ok, but i'd like to get a little tighter.  I've been edge jointing with my TS 75.  Normally i have no issues, but i don't like this one after i put sealer on it.  Of course if i change it now...i have to rejoint both of them since they'll be a set.  Any thoughts on this?

it's not the end of the world to run the track saw down the joint, domino and reglue....but i kinda don't feel like it.  geez. [scratch chin]...my laziness is showing

When do a project and I know I could have done a better job, I have a lot of regrets. Usually, I go back and redo the project until I'm satisfied that I can't do it any better.

If you don't fix that gap, it will eat at you.

I would have thought once clean pass down the existing joint with a good blade on the tracksaw would give you a good joint now. Problem appears that you didn't have perfect edges when you joined them initially.

Rob,

"Re-joint both because they will be a set."  Suggests to me that you are jointing each edge separately instead of together in  one cut.

    TS75 with which blade?

Also the dominos may be hurting when using the track saw jointing method. If the one face is not perfectly square compared to the other then the domino mortises will be registered off different planes.

the top photo i'm pretty satisfied with, the second pic is of a separate piece in a set.  If i run the saw dead down the joint on one it will be smaller than the other top ~2.5mm the thickness of the blade.  I wonder if 95% of the world would even notice?  I'm not asking premium pricing if they sell.  I'll keep them unless i get a request online....

Aaah, I see. Didn't realize they were two different pieces. Well, you could take 1.25mm off each outside edge of the keeper rather than redo both.
