I measured my Viking for you.
The base is 10.5" by 18.375".
The holes average 0.52" diameter.
All four holes are set back 1.385" to the centerline from each edge.
The slots are 5.375" on center and 2.75" back from the front edge.
Did you get your stand made? I’ve got mine on a temporary stand and was also looking at making a stand from 8020 material. I bought extra material when making my workbench but haven’t got anywhere with the drillpress stand yet. Post up some pictures if you can. ThanksClaimdude said:Hi Viking owners,
I have a Viking on order and am building an 80/20 stand with drawers. I would like to have this ready to set the drill press on when it arrives without having to move it later. To that end I would to drill 4 holes in the top to attach the base but need a measured drawing of the base (which I haven't been able to locate) or at the least the measurements (width, length and distance from front end of slot to the front edge of the base) along with a center to center measurement from slot to slot. Does anyone here know where I can find that info or be wiling to take the measurements off the base of their Viking? I would greatly appreciate any help you all can provide!

What dimensions did you make it, WxDXH?
Height without wheels and plywood top.
Thanks

Perfect, thanks so much. I was looking at around a 24” cube since I have (4) sticks of 72” 1515 extrusion.Claimdude said:W20in x D22in x H25in these are the material lengths. The material is 1.5" x 1.5"

Got it. Yeah, I scaled it off the screen and figured it had to be around 23” wide horizontal stick in the front, so 26” wide overall.Claimdude said:I didn't really make it clear in my reply but the dimensions are the 820 stick sizes so the depth and width need to add 3" (1 1/2" for each piece of stock) for for outside dimensions. The height is actual 25"

Would anything prevent that from being possible?
