I have been running back and forth to my boat for repairs and maintenance and I keep a pos ryobi drill on the boat. Why? I never use it as it is big and slow and weak.
I have an 18 volt lithium makita that I am pleased with and a set of 14.4 LI  panasonics, impact and drill, that I am absolutely thrilled with. Great tools.  So in order to get them back and forth to the boat I was going to buy a 4 drawer sortainer. $140 bucks I think. Well I am a festoolaholic and the t15-3 Drill has got great reviews. If I buy the new drill in the nice new special  systainer it is $575 and I get a free systainer 1 with the bins( $69 I think). Who can't use another one of those. So the drill minus the sortainer I would have had to buy and the new extra systainer is (  575 minus 140 minus 69, is down to about $366
Wait it comes with those extra chucks I have been longing for . I think that's about $160 worth of chucks. take that off the 366 and I am at about $200.

So with out getting out of bed I send an order to Uncle bob and get a fantastic new tool for what i figure is about $200 bucks.
Thats my story and I am sticking to it, just in case she asks.

That promotion for the free systainer ended July 31st according to Festools website.

Dave,

Was it really necessary to rain on Billy's parade? :'(

But, but he had it all figured out.

Any other tool dealer would keep the promo going until they were gone.  Not Festool.  July 31 is July 31, period.  I guess that's why we luv em!

I guess I just made it then. I had heard it was until June and there it was still at the end of July.

All of the Festool spring promotions where done at the end of june except for the T+3 drills which ended July 31st.

Neill,

If I wanted to buy a T+3 drill from my Festool dealer and he still had an extra systainer, he would in fact give it to me.  He's done it before with other items.  I don't know if it is against Festools policy but some dealers obviously do it.  I bought my T12 drill a couple weeks ago but exchanged it last week for the T15 for more power.  So I don't have to worry about the promo =)

Now you can factor the cost of a new boat anchor, and subtract that as now you have a pos Ryobi drill that can suffice for that.....
