I like the angled door under the stair, did you make it ? The treads look quite thin, about 25mm possibly ? I always make mine 33mm.
Good to see some of your work at last [big grin]

Dean, always make my stringers & treads 33mm thick. Risers usually 12mm oak mdf but sometimes 18mm solid oak. Always fit 4 glue blocks to every tread also.
I like the hinged door, gonna borrow that one ;D

The thicker treads really makes for a quality stair. Ive seen the 25mm ones & not keen on them at all. Blooming heavy when it comes to fitting though [sad]

last un you did was more like 230mm!!!
woodguy7 said:One thing i notice is the top nosing is flush with the chipboard. I presume the carpet is going to tuck around it. I sometimes have the top nosing up by 15mm or so to allow the carpet & underlay to be just above the tread. Makes for quite a nice look but not everyone likes it like that. I always give the choice.
LOL, ok Brett, you have me there [embarassed]

Yea! Beat that wood guy! Your thin 33mm stuff. Puff! I only fit stairs with 225mm thick treads.
