Oak stairs

Talking of bed, I'm outta here.  Got called out by the police at 3.30 this morning & not back to bed till 4.45am & wide awake.  A bit sleepy now  [blink]

I aint throwin stones, it was genuine question.

You're right about [ some] French stairs though.I once stayed in a French gite,the whole renovated upper floor[chestnut] and stairs creaked like something out of a horror movie.I mean every step taken was a creaker.Unbelievable.

That's good.I thought of creaks because you bought them in.I reckon most creaky stairs are factory made,mass produced.Just my opinion.

there are bought it yes but made to measure by a quality company. Also i check everything before bording to make sure they dont creak.
 
Yes,I should have realised from the price [doh] Not the same as those mass produced.
