Cripes - now I'm looking at a tool thinking "I should buy it because its cute" [embarassed] [eek]
To date I've managed to keep everything cordless Festool apart from a couple of peripherals. I fear a recent splurge on Stihl garden cordless tools has smashed my resolve ... and I've seriously been aching for a reason to buy some cordless Metabo gear.
Now I "NEED" a cordless recipro, a cordless (and lethal) 18V impact driver would be cool. So, being teased with a cute little slide compound 18V mitre saw may break the seal.
Sorry Festool, you seem to be late to the party far too often these days!
[member=13058]Kev[/member] To be honest, the Metabo recip saw isn't great. It works, my M18 Fuel was better though. I won't rebuy the Milwaukee though, just because I left that battery system and a recip saw isn't a make-or-break tool for me, as long as it's passable, I'm okay. It's one of their older tools, so I'm anxiously awaiting a refresh of the tool.
The impact driver is also a "good enough" tool for Metabo. It works, but isn't the one to beat (like their drills and grinders are), I consider the Makita much better. It's also one of their older tools that needs a refresh. They do, however, have a compact impact wrench which you could throw a 1/2" to 1/4" hex adapter on, and it'll be an incredible impact driver (400 Nm!), just a little larger (though no bigger than what the Ti15 was). It has 11 speed/torque settings too, which is great for flexibility.
The miter saw (especially w/ the new LiHD batteries) looks REALLY impressive.
I also have their 18v hedge trimmer, which is actually really good as well.
