Good evening/ day to all,

As a hobbyist/ beginner I'm looking to add to my Festool addiction ( admitting you have a problem is the first step).  I'm specifically looking at the of1010 for edge work.

Is the of1010 offered in the USA as a set?

Can you explain what you mean by "as a set"?  What items are you looking to have packaged together?

That would help us answer the question.

Set= "accessory kit".  Like my domino 500 set.  Thank you for the quick reply.  I think I just found the answer.. I believe some of the of1010 accessories have been discontinued ( edge plate/arm) , etc.  might be wrong.

I don't believe that the OF1010 has ever been offered in a 'set'. And, certainly not a set that included the Edge Trimming accessories. There has been talk of discontinuing these specific accessories, however, at this time the Edge Trimming accessories are still available and 'In Stock' at some dealers.

Currently, the OF1010 ships with the following:

(1) ¼" Collet
(1) 8 mm Collet
(1) Chip Catcher
(1) Dust Extraction Hood
(1) Guide Stop
(1) Guide Rods
(1) Standard US Guide Bushing Adapter
(1) Plug-it Power Cord
(1) T-Loc Systainer 3

Additionally, you will likely want to order the Edge Guide.

Thank you for the quick reply and for clearing things up.

Download the USA version of the Festool catalog, it shows what all tools come with as well as most if not all of their accessories.

You'll need to get a edge guide. That is a must. At one time (before I got mine) It used to come with it. But now its a extra

These are the accessories I just bought for a recent OF 1010 purchase. It is replacing a crappy Bosch Colt router mostly used for edging. You may not want the copier scanning set, but for me it has uses. The fine adjustment is not required but should be a nice accessory to make fine tuning adjustments easier. I spent almost as much on accessories as I did on the dang router itself ($290). Already had a lot of accessories too. Hope that helps.

I bought all the same with mine minus the Copier Scanning Set and adding the Extension Table (488756) and the Trammel Unit (483922).

If I bought those accessories I would surpass what I paid for the router!

Circle jigs are pretty simple to make and I already have one setup for my older PC router, that will work with the OF 1010, and my OF 2000 for that matter, as it uses the PC templates.

Have you used the extension table yet, and if so do you find it a minor or major benefit? Others please chime in with your experience.

Edit: Looks like the "extension table" is just the rail guide with a new phenolic base on it. I suppose I can just make one out of plastic to see how it works. Searching for a photo of the base extension I found this circle jig someone made.http://www.swedishwoodworking.com/tips-tricks/circle-jig-for-festool-of1010-router/
