Hello everyone. Here’s my first post. I have the OF 1400 router. A couple of days ago I purchased the M-Powertools CRB7 MK3 router base to use with this router, as their website indicates that the CRB7 is compatible with the OF 1400. However, after installing the base on the router yesterday, I discovered that as the OF 1400 has the one central knob that locks / unlocks both guide rods simultaneously, and does not have a separate locking knob for each guide rod, I could not figure out how to use the microadjuster function of the CRB7. So, I contacted M-Powertools about this, and they indicated that people are indeed using their base with the OF 1400. Is anyone using this base with this router? If so, how are you using the microadjuster function?

Well, as it turns out, I figured out how to use this router base with the OF 1400, although this router doesn’t have the required two separate knobs for tightening each guide rail individually. I purchase some 5/16” set collars, drilled them with a 21/64” bit, and slid one on either side of the base. If I could have found 8mm set collars, the drilling would not have been necessary. I can lock the base with these set collars, loosen the central locking knob to allow the micro adjustment function to work, and then lock both rails with the central locking knob.
