OF 2000 E price?

The 2006 Catalog lists the 2000  E @ $475.00 and the 2000 Basic (no systainer, 8 mm collet or edge guide) @$425.00.
Hope this helps.

OK, that's what I thought, low-400s.  I was just surprised that a used one sold on ebay this morning for $415.  No accessories, no systainer, just a cardboard box.

Well,  a few thoughts - Festool tools hold their value very, very well and some people think e bay is always a bargain. The former is true, the latter is not.

Heck, at those prices, I'll sell my 2000 and upgrade. ;)

And with the new 10% promo on the 2200, you are getting it that much closer in price.

So true Bob.
There is currently a retailer on eBay selling *brand new* items for marked-up prices.  I just don't get it.  Why would anyone buy it... paying *more*?

For example, the wood drill bit set is $125, from just about Festool retailer.  On eBay through this merchant it is $132 or thereabouts.
The clamp set is $38.  On there I think it's $41 and change.

Every item they have listed is marked up approximately 7%.

Yes, it's weird. OF1400 for $507.73 (buy-it-now) instead of $470 for example. And there is a shipping charge too.

I wonder if Festool are OK with this overpricing? I bet not.

It's not weird at all if he is on ebay. He can't  eat money can he? Ebay fees are outrageous and so is shipping so he has to have the buyer pay for that. I am sure Festool does not cover his eBay fees.

He is charging regular price plus the ebay fee so I don't see how he can get in trouble. I do see no one purchasing from him though.

You're right. I had not considered the ebay fees. They are about 8% more or less for a $500 item, so that would be the difference.
