OF1010 Router

Hi guys, I just got my very first Festool tool which is an OF1010 router. I was playing around with it while reading the manual and it seems that my fine adjustment knob isn't moving. Tried turning it left and right but nothing, stiff as a rock and don't want to force and break anything. I plan to contact Festool about it Monday since I'm sure I won't get a response if I tried now or tomorrow. In the mean time, can anyone tell me if I received a defective router?

Check that the fine adjust is not screwed fully up or down. It may be just jammed against the end of its travel.

If the router is plunged and locked against the depth stop, the screw at the bottom, it will only turn to increase the depth but not to reduce it. You have to have it unplunged to adjust the depth.

The fine adjustment is on the #5 right out the box. I would try to plunge the router half way down and lock it and turn the stop screws to where it doesn't touch the plunge but still no joy in turning the fine adjustment. I tried turning it with some force and felt that anymore force would result in breaking it.

I just checked a 1010 in our warehouse and the micro adjust is a little snug right out of the Systainer.  Contact our service department today and they should be able to help you out.

Thank you Brent, I will try and contact you guys during my lunch break. I don't have the router on me at the moment so not sure if that would be able to do much.

I had the exact same problem with mine.  Brought it to the dealer and he sent it in for service -- came back a week later working fine.
