OF1400, alignment question

Hello,

I am a bit curious with the OF1400 how you align the template guides to be perfectly centered around the bit??

I found that festool has a discontinued mandrel, but it says its only for the of1100 and 2200. I read the instructions for the OF1400 and it seems like there is no mention of bit or template alignment.

I haven't seen the OF1400 in person, but it looks like there is no typical  baseplate to align... is the design such that there is no need to align templates as well?

The template guide clicks into the base in two guide holes with absolutely no play at all so there's no need to center it around the bit. It will always click into the exact same place. Very clever.
