I've just purchased an OF1400 copy ring and instead of it being a 'normal' shape, it's as if it's got a 'collar' on it.

The inside measurement is 17.7mm The outside (larger measurement) is 21mm. It also does not look correct.

When I use it with my Trend Hinge Jig - it just does not work correctly. However, when you look at the packaging, well it shows a different picture !!

This ring is for VS-600 (VS-500) jigs only. You have to return it back and buy normal copy ring.

Update: USA catalog doesn't  have "normal" 17mm copy rings for OF-1400. (OF-1010 and OF-2200 only)
Shane, do you have plans for them?

Victor, I don't know of any plans to offer any copy rings beyond our current offerings. Was there a particular application?

Shane,

I do have and use 17mm copy rings with OF-1010 (mostly) and with OF-2200 (rarely). I'm going to place big order next week, and buy some copy rings for my OF-1400. I found metric copy rings and metric hinge boring bits are very convenient for jigs. There is one problem OF-1010 does not accept 1/2"  shank bits (I use 10mm bits with adaptor), and OF-2200 is too heavy.

I have a friend who needs extremely precisely milled copy rings (not for Festool, but principle should be the same).  He gets them made at a machine shop for about $25 each.  Might be worth looking into for your application.
