Hi everyone. I have in my shop a of1400 ebq router. It is a 2011 model. On the handle, the lock on trigger button is not locking on. I have to press it to unlock the trigger and i dont know if this is an issue or the earlier models are ment to do that as a safety feature. If i use a router table, i have to lock the trigger with a zip lock or something. Can anyone tell me if the trigger lock is available on all of1400 or only on the newer models? Sorry for the bad english but it is not my native language. Thank you.

I got my 1400 about the same time and put it full time in my cms.
Last year the trigger lock stopped working.  I just order a new trigger assembly and replaced it myself. I think it was $10-15 dollars and took about 15 minutes to replace.

[welcome] to the GOF I mean FOG...

I would open the handle and see if the trigger holder have not failed or if the contact is continuous. When you lock it, the trigger move a wee bit down and the contact may not hold enough. In that case a simple pressure towards the contact (metal bent) on the trigger mechanism will fix it.

The trigger mechanism is all plastic... nothing to bend...pretty flimsy once you take the mechanism apart and look inside.
