Ok, Domino owners, tell me how to do this......

This weekend I attached the stretches to my workbench legs.  I had some problems how to match the mortise from the stretchers to the legs.  Legs are 3 inches wide and stretches 1 1/2 " so I tried to use an array of 6 mortises in my stretches (no problem here) but when I try to match them in the legs my problem started.

The height index does not help because 3 inches is aprox. 76 mm.  and it only goes to 30 mm.
What I did was to draw some lines and use an auxiliary fence and clamps to make the first set of 3 but the next one was really difficult.

I wish I know how to place an image in here so you can have an idea.

Help!!!!  ???

Update.  I am trying to attach an scketch up model so you can see the difference between legs and stretchers.  Let's see If I can attach it.  ;D

Fidelf problem solved  ;D

On the top of your fence you will see 2 small black plastic caps that are dovetailed in.They stop the fence from comming out.

Carefully remove them and you will be able to lift your fence to center at 110mm or 55mm to the center of the cutter.

Only one side of the locking cam will be used, so commonsence is the go. Just dont place to much presure on Domi and you will be fine.

I have been doing this for 6 months and havnt had a problem and just love the extra depth i get. Well worth the effort.

The added advantage is you can take the fence right off for better cleaning ;D

If the wood is wide enough, you may be able to make a template.

Place a clean sheet of paper on a flat surface. Place the end of your stretcher into the center of the paper.  Trace around the stretcher with a pencil.  Lift the stretcher, flip the paper over, and place the traced part of the paper over the end, making sure the lines are true to the wood. 

Set up your Domino machine as it was when you drilled the stretcher.  Press the paper to fold it over the end but keeping the pencil outline aligned against the end of the stretcher.  Place your Domino machine over it as if you were going to redrill your first mortice.  Draw a line across the paper at the base of your Domino.  Then draw on the paper, a purpendicular line at the centering mark that is scribed into the base of your Domino.  Repeat this line drawing for each hole.

Affix the paper onto the bench leg with rubber cement.  Place your Domino machine in alignment with the base line, and each of the centering lines to drill your mortices.

I've used the back edge of the guide rail on the MFT as a fence to place the domino base up against so I could cut mortises beyond the range of the domino fence.  If I remember correctly the bit is center 10 mm above the base.

This is what I did the other day,

Measure for centers(black marker line) then 10mm offset for the Domino's base (green line).

Line it up with the back of rail on the MFT (on the green line).

Index the Domino's pin.

Done.
