What new Festool toys are we going to see released this year?

Every now and again I look at the new products pages of Festool Germany:

It appears that the product range has diversified and also bulked out a bit. In other words, there are a lot of machines providing solutions in new areas as well as more choices of machines within specific groups.

My only worry is that some of these machines might have a very limited or specialist market.

Although not in the stated Festool development path, I would love to see the Festool engineering expertise tackle some big static woodworking machines like planer-thicknessers, large table saws, bandsaws etc. They could start by making a vertical panel saw using the TS55R (we saw one here on the FOG made by another company).

Festool is always tight lipped about what is coming out. Kinda like Apple they keep things close to their chest and never show their hand until its already been revealed.  My local rep has told me its a "nice bit of kit coming, so save your pennys".

(With festool is more like save your big $$$$. But When he tells me thins knowing my buying habits. it is definitely going to be a "nice bit of kit")

I must admit I am developing a serious Festool habit.  [tongue] .......Technically it was not yet 2014, in the San Francisco bay area, when I posted and I figured my chances of getting some of the Festool guys to bite where slim but thought I'd give it a shot anyhow.

Spot on comparison with Apple/Festool product releases. Peter, it would be very interesting to see some stationary tools come to market.....I really like the vertical saw idea as the the mft is not large enough to support sheet goods.

The new diamond cutter has recently got my attention, great to see this come out for some interior design work I will be doing and the ability to use the guide rails will be really helpful

Hi guys the stuff  your seeing from that link is rebadged PROTOOL which is now been made in the FESTOOL colours that's why it seems specialized and tons of gear . We can buy that here in Australia already.

PROTOOL is Festools cousin but has moved in with the FESTOOL family name and wearing their clothes.

Can anybody read Hungarian? What i could understand is the release date of February 14th.
Looks really nice but i wonder if it also trims while it glues?

Theres a few portable edge banders out there and they aren't cheap either, usually around €2000. The Festool one looks quite a bit more sophisticated.
