We have an OMGA miter saw 1P 350F and it ran great for nearly 2 years and then the motor fried. I took it to a local repair shop and they told me 6 weeks to get it rewired so I decided to buy a new motor direct while waiting for the old motor to get rewired and have for a backup. We installed the new motor and it ran for about a week and a half and it burned up. The second go around I had the repair shop bring the reround motor and install it and it only lasted about an hour before it burned up. Also after the second motor burned up we had them replace the tensioner wheels just in case they were causing drag on the belt. We bought a second motor from OMGA and the repair shop decided to test it out without the brake so they wired it up and it is pulling 15 amps with no load which they said was way to high. My question is has anyone else had this kind of trouble with their OMGA saw?

Single phase or 3 phase, if 230 volt?

See if you can find an electrician with a data logging meter. This is where I’d start, but I own and know how to use the equipment to check the buildings electrical supply.

Did the motor shop do the test at their location or your shop?

As of 10 minutes ago I own an Omga saw. It has not arrived to me yet.
