Outgoing PM's not showing

Over the last 2 days, none of my outgoing pm's (~ 4) are showing up in my messages outbox.  It is confusing as I don't know if they have been sent unless I see a reply in my inbox.  The older messages are all there in my outbox, just not the new ones.  I am logged in and I am only at 13% full.  I can't seem to figure this out.  Is anyone else experiencing this? - Thx

Did you check the box "save a copy in my outbox?"

I find that annoying too...can't imagine how much bandwidth it saves by being the default not to save

It's not about bandwidth or disk space, both of which we have plenty of. There's no option in the forum software for it to be defaulted on or off. But mine stays marked on after checking it once.

There's an option for default PM saving under your profile > personal message options.

okay - that must be it.  I don't consciously remember doing that for any of the ones previously that are still showing up but I will remember to check that from now on.  Thanks all.

No, but I have written some emails and hit send and completely lost them.
It's really annoying. I can't recover them by hitting my back button so I just compose in Word and copy and paste into the email send frame. If it doesn't go, I just repeat.

Tim and everybody else.  I have endured lots of issues with PMs and posts in the past.  I eventually learned about the save a copy for outgoing messages and about copying long posts (control c) before posting just in case.

The latest version of the software that we are on now seems to be a lot better in the background to me.  I would still urge people to use the control C to copy long or important posts just to make sure everything is ok.

In regards to messages and why the software doesn't automatically save a copy, I think that it is defaulting to that of minimum storage space.  If you choose to save all your out going and incoming messages, unless it has changed there is a limit.  You might want to consider that.
