Paint Sprayer

Is there a paint sprayer that is good to use indoors to paint cabinet panels and doors?  My shop area is in my basement.

It would be for Home DIY projects.  Mostly weekend work

For home DIY projects I would recommend the Fuji Q5 with either the T70 gun or T75G gun. Also, if budget allows it, get the 3M PPS system for your gun.

I recently settled on the fuji minimite 4. I could not justify the extra 500-600 dollars for my home shop for the Q5. All the reviews and videos shown on it had great reviews. It has the same turbine as the Q4 without the sound baffling.

Did you get a GX-19? I'm thinking of getting one but I'm concerned about to much overspray. I don't think i'm to handle it.

No, I do not have one. I know a few people who do have it. The entire system is designed to keep overspray to a minimum.

Not sure if the have it in Canada, check the Graco website (here) they have a "try it before you buy it" program.

I've had excellent results spraying trim and cabinets with my Titan ED655.

You could also add and Air Assist Airless gun such as the Graco G40 to pumps such as the ED655 or the GX-19 to improve the atomization and finish quality.

For home/DIY projects you would recommend the Q5?! lol Why exactly? Most would recommend the Q3 with the Q4 being upgrade enough. So why the Q5 over the Q4? The ~$200, extra stage and .5 CFM really worth it?

I have recently recently gotten into woodworking (and finishing) and had a similar dilemma. Eventually opted for the Fuji Q4 -- and decided not to go to the Q5 as I felt the incremental return of stepping up from the Q4 to Q5 is too modest and not cost effective.  Got the whip hose, several caps and the remote control. Did only one project thus far -- repainted my kitchen cabinets with primer + two coats of BM Advance (35 doors!). Very happy with the Q4, I feel that for an occasional/hobbyist user it is plenty good.  Will get the 3M PPS and I think will be set.

In 2011 I bought a Q4. Extremely happy with it.  I recently upgraded to the T70 gun. Immunity sure if all Fuji's come with the upgraded hose but make sure. The original stock hose started to pop off its fitting after a lot of use.
