Painted coving on built in

I have just finished a large floor to ceiling built in which has the skirting and plaster coving running across the front of it (baseboard and crown to our friends in the USA [wink]). The customer has had the unit painted a nice grey colour but done the skirting and coving white to match the rest. I think this looks wrong and am trying to convince them to paint it all grey. I remember seeing I think a built in kitchen cupboard in this section that was grey and incorporated the coving (crown) also painted grey which looked great but can't seem to find it, can anyone help?
