I ripped a 4'x8' sheet into 1 3/4" pieces today only to find that I could not rip the last pass. I am wondering how to prevent this in the future (if possible).
Not clear what you mean you could not rip the last piece? If you were trying to rip a narrow piece down to 1 3/4, I'd suggest you put 3-4 of the other narrow pieces under the rail to the left of the piece you want to rip to allow the rail to sit flat.
Neil,
I'm guessing that will work. I thought about the process last night. I will try it next time.
This was the first time I used the guides and I have to say it was a pleasure. There is no way I could have done this as fast with a table saw and no less a side winder.
